What happened
The employee was working in the warehouse and checking on pallets of product. He was checking pallet tags and had taken off his glasses to the do this as they were dirty and impeding his ability to read. As he bent over and braced a hand on the applicable pallet to look at the tag one of the plastic banding straps securing the pallet snapped off and ricocheted striking him on his left eye which resulted in corneal abrasion.
