Associate was working with MiJack crane #800. They were moving a concrete beam weighing 87000 lbs. to place in storage yard. As they were moving the beam into its final position for storage one end of the beam was traversed to straighten it. Crane was not rolling and was stationary as the hoist beam was traversed. The crane operator stated the associate signaled him to stop traversing verbal and hand signals were given and operator stopped. The crane operator looked away from him to make sure the end that was traversed had stopped. He then looked towards where he was and lost visual contact. Crane operator called three times on the radio received no response exited the crane cab and found him on the ground.
