While moving a electric pallet jack a recently hired dry warehouse temporary employee seemingly attempting to park the electric pallet jack got their left leg caught in between the electric pallet jack and a railing at calf height

While moving a electric pallet jack a recently hired dry warehouse temporary employee seemingly attempting to park the electric pallet jack got their left leg caught in between the electric pallet jack and a railing at calf height. The employee was immediately freed up and a wheelchair was brought so they could be moved to the first aid room. Although reporting an improvement in his pain the employee was moved to a clinic where a fracture was diagnosed. The employee was not an authorized PIT operator and had not been trained on how to run it. The employee 's statement of the events was vague at the time and is expected to be clarified upon their return to work.
