Description: Employee states left hand was cut while opening packaging for a piece of new equipment. Suspected Cause: Rushing to complete job employee was on his 15th hour of work and not using the correct tools. Immediate Actions Taken: Applied pressure to the wound covered and wrapped it. Drove him to the emergency room where he was attended to by doctor and received 5 stitches. Reported to EHS supervisor and called Work Care on the way to hospital.
