Trying to perform patient daily care and fix monitor leads
What happened
Patient had ripped off leads and i had to finish doing my round of catheter care so i went in with the RN at the time we needed to pull him up and get him situated when i had noticed he had been tugging on his catheter and saw blood at the insertion site and as i was looking to fix it the pt had bent his knee and kicked me in my stomach.
