WHILE LIFTING AND HANDLING A HEAVY BOX THE EMPLOYEE REPORTED HEARING A POP SOUND IN THEIR RIGHT KNEE AS THEY TURNED THEIR BODY. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT THE EMPLOYEE STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO PLACE WEIGHT ON THE AFFECTED KNEE. THE EMPLOYEE ALSO REPORTED AN INABILITY TO TWIST OR TURN THE KNEE WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT PAIN OR DISCOMFORT.
