Removing boom section

Employee was assisting in removing a boom section from a crane. While attempting to get the last few inches of the boom free the employee was rocking the boom section back and forth to help free it. Once the boom section let loose it swung forward and the employee attempted to stop it by grabbing the Corona ring and bracket on the outer section. The employee pinched his RT Pinky Finger and Ring Finger between the Corona ring and bracket causing a laceration on each. Employee was treated with first-aid and then sent to the clinic for further treatment.
