Before the incident
The associate was setting a sash only sash onto one of our mobile sash carts with two hands and the unit vertically lifted in the front of their body. This unit was a 33 x 71 and weighed approximately 50 pounds. As the associate was setting the sash down vertically onto the mobile cart the cart started to roll and with the associates forward momentum and weight of the sash accelerated a fall to the ground. Once this momentum and weight of the sash bumped into the cart the wheels started to move and the associate dropped the sash but could not regain balance and fell to their knees. The associate said they did not expect that the cart would be unlocked for the wheels are supposed to be locked even when it is empty. Initially the associate stated they felt no pain but when asked again [REDACTED] did report some pain in both knees however the right knee was noticeably more painful.
