Before the incident

EE was accepting a new batch and slot on the screen of the machine to ensure that it was sized correctly and then placed part in the machine.

What happened

EE clicked the accept on the Hinge and strike plate machine and waited for the machine to move. Crossed the barrier thinking it was in the right spot. As the EE was checking the correct placement they noticed a pinch on their finger and noticed the middle clamp was closing on their finger. EE immediately called for assistance from another Fab associate. They pushed the e-stop on the machine. The associate got the supervisor immediately. The supervisor called maintenance to reset the clamp. Supervisor called Assistant Production Manager who is also a first responder [REDACTED] to come and take a look at EE 's left index finger. First responder gave EE an ice pack to immediately get the swelling down. EE does have mobility in the left index finger. Without the ice at first EE was experiencing a 10 out of 10. on the pain scale. When ice was applied EE stated that they were experiencing a 5 out of 10 on the pain scale.
