Before the incident

I was assigned to work on [REDACTED] 2 on [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. The patient was a very heavy patient that required max assist. She also required to be turned every 2 hours. Patient weighed over 500 lbs. On [REDACTED] she was assigned to another nurse. Nurse asked me if I could help her transfer the patient because she was getting transported via ambulance to another facility. There were 2 men from the ambulance crew [REDACTED] and another nurse and I we helped transfer the patient to the ambulance cart. During the transfer we had a difficult time getting her on to the cart due to weight of the patient and not properly fitting in the cart. I was trying to help her pull over and I felt my knee crack slightly but did not have any pain at that time and kept on with my day. I started having knee discomfort [REDACTED] after with minor pain and discomfort started taking over the counter NSAIDS.
