What happened
The shroud was over bent. In an attempt to correct the mistake she tried prying it out using a crescent wrench. The metal was too thin and did not react the way she wanted it to. At this point she switched to a rubber hammer. She made impact where she intended to but after impact was made her left index finger was lacerated against a corner piece that was sticking out.
