While installing a new hose block into Press 22 the employee encountered an issue where the block was to large too fit properly. To resolve the issue the employee was directed to grind down the corner of the hose block.

Although the employee was wearing eye protection and gloves a piece of hot slag generated during grinding became airborne and entered the employee 's eye.
