What happened
Technician was in progress of removing a sponge on L4 Open Full Can flextop conveyor to complete the beginning of shift CILs. The EE attempted to pull the sponge by hand but was unable to due to friction drawing the sponge past the guard. The EE attempted to pull the sponge via a pair of pliers and was unable to dislodge. EE attempted to push the sponge through and the L pinky finger was caught in the conveyor causing a laceration and fracture of L pinky.
