What happened
Employee was inside of a tank shell aligning a girth seam prior to welding 2 sections together when a tiny piece of metal debris fell behind his safety glasses and entered left eye. Washing flushing could not remove it on site. Initial attempt by LHCP at work comp clinic could not remove it. Employee was taken to an eye specialist who promptly removed it but could not determine if the metal debris and or initial attempt by LHCCP to remove it caused the abrasion
