What happened
I was removing the plastic cover from the ultrasound probe; it had blood on it from the midline insertion (which is normal.) The rubber band slipped from my fingers and the force flung blood splatter on my face and in my eyes. I immediately removed my gloves and washed my face and eyes in the sink
