What happened
The associate was discharging the ingredients from the mixer. There was a large piece of IQF egg that was stuck between a paddle and the associate stuck his right hand in the mixer to jar it free while the machine was operating. The associate 's smock was caught in the shaft and his right arm was pulled into the mixer.

The associate 's right arm between the wrist and elbow. Fire rescue had to amputate. The arm was surgically reattached the same day.
