What happened
Exposure to respiratory illness from patient events during shift on [REDACTED]. Telemetry: mentally challenged patient with significant agitation and positive for RSV. Patient frequently went into hallway and screamed at employee. Employee would have PPE on during patient care in room but unable to don PPE when patient would come into hallway. Reports significant spit into his face. Telemetry: New patient up from ER without notice. 10 minutes into the admission the employee noticed the patient coughing. The patient was not in precautions and no PPE worn by employee. COVID swab done at that time but unknown result.
