Assisting with patient transfer.
What happened
Patient was transferring from side of bed to chair with 2 assist and gait belt. Transfer was stand pivot. Patient began leaning to left on nurse and tried to sit in chair. Was on edge of chair and staff could not pull him back onto the chair so they safely lowered the patient to the floor. Patient was hoyered to bed and hoyer sling left in room. VSS. PT was notified and recommended Hoyer Transfer.
