Before the incident
Helping the truck driver move the pallets so the other forklift driver could unload the pallets.
What happened
Employee was signaling to the forklift drive to move forward with the forks. The employee put his head between the truck and the forklift as he was motioning to the forklift driver to move forward. Employee moved out of sight and then signaled to stop this was too late and his ear became lacerated from the position it was in between the truck and the mast of the forklift.
Injury or illness
Employees left ear was lacerated and received stitches. MRI done to make sure there was not a head injury.
