Before the incident
Associate was working with another co-worker to cut a prototype aluminum extrusion assembly down to size on a band saw.
What happened
As the co-worker was pushing the extrusion along the guide and through the blade the injured associate was helping stabilize and pull the piece through. As the blade caught a more complex element of the extrusion with a differing thickness the blade caught and ripped the extrusion from the grasp of the injured associate.
