Before the incident
Employee was using the handheld controler and guiding the overhead crane to move a large block of stone.
What happened
Employee was walking beside the block of stone which was being transported through the air by an overhead crane. The employe was guiding the block with his left arm (This is agains policy). When he meant to hit the button on the handheld controller to move the block to the right he accidently hit the left button. This resulted in the block swinging left crusing his arm between a metal guard and the stone block.
Injury or illness
Small cut that was treated by a bandaid on his left forearm. Crushing injury with no fracture broken bones. Som swelling numbness and brusing was seen.
