Employee was assisting as a press helper to lift a metal cart supporting a plastic film roll weighing approximately 500 lbs. when the roll slipped and employee tried using their left hand to catch it and the metal cart 's edges pinched their fingers underneath the roll cart resulting in injury to left hand ring finger and middle finger.
Injury or illness
Left ring finger laceration and non-displaced fracture to left index finger. Later was informed that it was an actual fingertip amputation and reported to OSHA
