What happened
Employee attempted loosening a stuck chipping hammer from the Autopour unit with a bridge crane and endured an injury to his hand when the chipping hammer suddenly ejected. The employee grasped the chipping hammer while raising the crane in order to stabilize the instrument and prevent a struck by incident when it pulled free. When the crane was raised the chipping hammer suddenly pulled free and forced the employee 's hand against the inside wall of the Autopour.
