What happened
Two people were unloading a ([REDACTED]) reel truck next to the cage area. A person was helping another inside the trailer at the time move the reel to the end of the truck as it weighed approx. 350-400 pounds. This particular reel needs to be positioned on an angle at the mouth of the trailer in order for the forklift operator to securely pick it up and take it to its resting place in the yard. So when bringing it up to position on an angle the person in the front of reel thought they could spin the reel in the truck and when one person pushed his end to spin it. It pinned the supervisor 's hand between the reel and inside wall of the trailer in his effort to get my hand out he tried to move the reel off his hand and yanked it out causing the underneath of his right middle finger to be cut open and the top also to be cut open. He was wearing gloves at the time as these reels can be rusty.
