Employee was kitting up and staging component parts for service parts welding.
What happened
A small number of pivot shafts were brought to the service parts welding area presented at waist core height and were physically moved to a shelf of similar height. The pivot shafts are under our 40 pound lifting limit and were moved one at a time.
Injury or illness
Later in the evening and the next day the employee complained of shoulder pain. After several days with no improvement the employee sought medical attention and was subsequently diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement and placed on a 15 pound weight restriction.
