Before the incident
Was operating a powered industrial truck and dropped a pallet of obsolete product into an open top waste container.
What happened
When dumping the obsolete product the pallet fell into the open top container as well. The employee climbed the side of the container to retrieve the pallet against company policy. As he was climbing down his arm came in contact with a sharp area of the container side.

Contact with the container created a large laceration on the side of the hand down to the tip of the little finger.
