Before the incident
A temporary employee was in the process of packaging Fome-Cor material. During this time the employee noticed that a portion of the corner board was protruding about two inches above the intended height. The employee then tried removing the additional material using his personal fixed-blade utility knife.
What happened
The employee raised his left hand and placed it on the top horizontal corner board and began to cut the vertical board. As the employee cut towards himself the knife came through the material and struck his left forearm resulting in a laceration.
