Preparing the surgery tray for cleaning
What happened
EE was setting up the tray to organize it for washing post surgery. EE was fixing the surgical tray and got a needle holder to put in a stringer and when I grabbed it I felt a sharp poke and saw is was a suture and site started to bleed immediately. She then told me on the phone that she saw that the suture involved in the incident had been cut already so it was a used suturing needle that had poked her therefore contaminated. However had no visible blood on needle.
