Before the incident
Holding hands inside machine to catch a part when released by another operator.
What happened
A part was jammed in the machine. One associate who was unqualified to do so went to the back of the machine to actuate the pneumatic override valves on the machine to release the part. The injured associate placed their hands underneath the jammed part to catch it. The incorrect pneumatic valve was used which raised the pallet and pinched the injured associates fingers between the pallet and the part.
