Worker was attempting to pull a pallet out of it 's spot in it 's aisle when he noticed the fence gate latch was protruding slightly in his way and prevented him from entering the pallet. Worker attempted to move the latch by reaching outside of their forklift and not getting completely off. During this their foot slipped off the brake causing the forklift to move forward pinching their finger between the forklift backrest and the fencing post.
