Lifting the mandrel

While transferring a mandrel from a table to an oven using a chain block pulley and sling employees raised the mandrel slightly higher than the neighboring mandrels. However the lifting was not uniform causing one end to remain at a lower level. As they began the horizontal movement of the mandrel the higher end swung rapidly leading to a forceful collision between the lower end of the mandrel with neighboring mandrel and an employee. This caused the mandrel to fall back on the table bruising the employee 's arms. Injured employee underwent comprehensive medical exam administered by a doctor and was then prescribed Ibuprofen to alleviate the resulting discomfort. Presently the employee has resumed light duties with supervision.
