Worker was performing steel fabrication fit-up welding duties on interior of a rock spreader truck body.

On [REDACTED] while adjusting his position on the interior steel ramp and doing a controlled slide (4-5 feet distance at 45-degrees) while kneeling the worker’s left foot caught underneath him and strained his left knee. The worker already has a pre-existing injury history on his right knee and said he was favoring the right knee so as not to hurt it. Worker did not report at the time of injury ([REDACTED]). The injury continued to bother him for several more days until he decided to report it to the Safety Department on [REDACTED]. Worker was immediately transported to seek medical at company-partnered urgent care occ-med provider.

Diagnosed as Acute left knee meniscus tear.
