What happened
The piece of metal below the one the employee was handling ended up sticking to the top piece without the employee 's knowledge. When he went to slide the metal from the box the bottom piece slid out into the employee 's left leg.
Injury or illness
Laceration on left leg that required four stiches from the emergency room. Employee was unable to be initially treated at occupational clinic due to personal medical condition of high blood pressure which is why he was sent to the emergency room. No work restrictions provided from emergency room.
