What happened
I was in patient room 11 to give a new admit a nebulizer treatment. I introduced myself to the patient. Explained the treatment and what the MD had ordered. The patient seemed to understand. I attempted to hand the nebulizer to patient. He grabbed the n eb from me. Swung the neb at my face. I jumped back. He missed me by about one inch. He told me he was going to shove the neb up my ass. Clearly the patient was confused? I put on the nurse call light and nurse [REDACTED] was able to disarm him. Dr [REDACTED] an d Patient 's nurse [REDACTED] informed.
