Was in patient room #5 on Acute Care floor to replace an overfilled sharps container and it would not shut so EE went to grab a syringe to place it in a new box and the cap fell off and needle stuck right palm. Needle was a blunt tip filter needle used for medication draw up. Needle did not come in contact with patient.
