While transporting a patient from [REDACTED] to the ER I was in the back of the ambulance. I had stood up to help the patient reposition when my partner hit the breaks while we were on a steep hill a block out from the ER. I lost my footing and had to grab the webbing to stop from falling into the bulkhead. I wrenched my shoulder and developed significant pain. I attempted to finish my shift but every time I grabbed a bag or manuevered the cot it hurt worse.
