Making repairs to broken conveyor

Maintenance Employee was working on the Bun Cooler transfer roller and [REDACTED] conveyor infeed to Bun Cooler. While working on the conveyor a piece of the conveyor a rod popped up and struck the employee under the left eye. The employee was wearing safety glasses at the time of the incident. Employee supervisor and fellow co-worker witnessed the event and incident was reported immediately. Where rod struck employee caused a small cut under the left eye and was some bleeding. Treated bleeding on site and Production Supervisor transported employee to Emergency Room for treatment and evaluation.
