Before the incident
Employee was attempting to unjam bags that were caught up in the housing of a bag roller which is part of our packing line. The bags had jammed as the employee was cycling the equipment to troubleshoot a separate issue.
What happened
The shaft of the bag roller was lifted out of its cradle from the strength of the jammed bags. The employee set his hand on the cradle to get leverage to unjam the bags. When the bags released the shaft fell into the cradle and the employee 's hand was still in place.

Laceration without foreign body of left ring finger without damage to nail.
