Before the incident
The RF Line Team had just completed running 109 end trim parts and started a ne[REDACTED] run of 6 [REDACTED]ide LSL [REDACTED] IXL at 109.7 long. This material did not need to be end trimmed and Associate did not adjust the sa[REDACTED] distance to clear the 109.7 material.
What happened
Associate realized they did not move the saw out of the way and went to reposition the saw but the material had started advancing under the yellow spacer riser that assists the boards when being trimmed and got their right hand ring finger pinched between the yellow spacer guard and blue housing. Associate 's hand was pinched smashed and immediately pulled their hand out. The smash pinch and pulling of his finger from this location is what caused the damage to his right ring finger.
