and traffic was backing up at the exit. Due to multiple right hand exits after crossing over the river thru traffic usually stays in the left-hand lane which is where the employee was. Traffic was congested and the vehicle in front of the employee slowed to a near stop employee did as well. The Volkswagen behind employee driven by an [REDACTED] young lady then struck the rear of the car and pushing employee into the vehicle in front of them. 6 air bags went off due to the impact and the employee felt pain in her back. Even though employee maintained a safe distance from the vehicle in front she did strike it but caused no visible damage according to the operator. He left the scene after he checked on both employee and the young girl. Employee stayed in vehicle and called [REDACTED]. Neither vehicle could be moved from the scene.
