Employee was about to go to lunch when he noticed a smell.

Two maintenance team members had conducted work on a Kaeser blower motor and resumed operation. Very shortly afterward they noticed something smelling hot burning and determined it to be from the same one. They shut down the power and were investigating when one of them opened a drain valve causing hot oil to release from a line it had burned through spraying them.

Sustained 2nd degree burns to the palm thumb and fingers of his right hand.
