Opening door to the dryer

What happened

EE was opening dryer access doors in preparation for a maintenance day. The door utilizes a 3-step stair tread to allow access to the closing bolts located at the top of the door. As the employee removed the second bolt that secures the door the door hinged backwards and caused the employee to lose his balance and fall off the stair treads and land on the catwalk. Upon landing he struck the back of his head on the expanded metal of the catwalk grate causing a laceration.

Summary line
