Placing a roll of film into a metal rack.

What happened

Associate placed the end of a piece of steel pipe into the core of a roll of film that was sitting on a cart and attempted to slide the roll down the pipe to place it into the rack. In the process of doing this the end of the pipe that was nearest to the associate slipped down into the rack pinning his thumb in between. Associate pulled his hand out and entered the inspection room and asked the [REDACTED] operator ([REDACTED]) to open the door on the side of the room for him. He then went to the medicine cabinet and asked [REDACTED] to open it for him. [REDACTED] then obtained some alcohol wipes and bandages and the two associates entered the men 's locker room. The Lead Operator ([REDACTED]) was in the room and [REDACTED] informed him that he had injured himself. [REDACTED] then went to a phone and paged the Production Manager to the inspection room. The injured associate wrapped his thumb in bandages. Production Manager then checked on [REDACTED] and determined that he needed to call
