Moving Omnova Rolls on Cart

What happened

Employee was wearing a compression sleeve and additional padding on right elbow. Safety Manager asked him what was wrong with his elbow during routine daily safety walkthrough of the plant. Employee informed safety manager that his right elbow was bothering him. When asked what happened the employee answered that it may have been due to the 3 weeks the employee was working on his own doing everything on the line implying the amount of physical work he had performed while running Omnova rolls without his usual co-worker on the line. Upon speaking with his supervisor the employee apparently had originally injured himself away from the workplace. Due to the potential impact of him reaggravating the injury due to the nature of the work the employee was performing with heavy rolls (>1000 lb) he was told to call into the CorVel worker 's comp hotline wherein a nurse technician recommended he go see an outpatient center for further evaluation.
