On [REDACTED] the facility laborer reported that his back was sore and tight. He stated that he had been doing heavy work around the shop and removing a barrel from the back of the pickup truck filled with oil-soaked speedy dry from a previous day 's oil spill cleanup. He refused medical attention at the time of the initial report of the incident. He felt that nothing could be done to help the issue besides some rest and time. The decision was made in conjunction with the Safety and site Management to have him go home rest and ice the area. Supervisor checked in on [REDACTED] the same day; he was still sore and resting at that point. Again supervisor asked him if he would like to be seen by a physician. Once again he refused. On [REDACTED] employee spoke with the site GM stating that he felt he still needed some additional time for his back. He continued to think that medical attention would not provide a resolution.
