While grinding joint epoxy [REDACTED] cut his left thumb with a 4 angle grinder while attemping to turn it off. The grinder had a sanding flapper disk attached at the time. [REDACTED] was using the tool with his right hand to operate that would place his right thumb either directly over the on off switch or very close to it. [REDACTED] stated he was trying to turn the rool off with his left thumb when the injury occurred. [REDACTED] arrived the tool did have a handle and guard attached.
