The employee was holding the ladder for his coworker.

Two Turner employees were tasked with repairing a VOC leak on a 4inch orbit valve in the BEF unit. The valve was installed approximately 10 feet above grade and the employees were utilizing a 6foot step ladder to access the valve. The employee on the ladder was using a 14inch pipe wrench to attempt to remove the handwheel. He could not loosen the nut securing it so he asked his coworker to pass up a grease gun in order to lubricate it. The employee on the ladder set the pipe wrench on top of the insulated pipe next to the valve while he attempted to grease the nut. As he maneuvered the grease gun he knocked the wrench off the pipe causing it to strike the employee holding the ladder below. This resulted in a laceration to the employees lip and dislodged a decaying tooth.
