What happened
A Turner mechanical crew was in the process of installing a B distributor inside the [REDACTED] vessel at [REDACTED]. The distributor was being manually inserted through a side 20 manway during this task the piping began to shift catching the employees ' hand as he was attempting to move his hands out of the way. His hand was caught between and the flange of the pipe and the flange of the manway. It was confirmed that the employee was wearing the proper impact gloves for the task.
