Blood Draw for morning labs.
What happened
During the end of the lab draw the patient had accidentally jerked their shoulder to the side and up while I was attempting to activate the safety on the butterfly needle. This exchange caused the contaminated needle to slightly puncture my glove and into my skin on my left hand just underneath the bottom of my index finger. The needle did draw blood on my hand.
