What happened
I went in to draw the patient for morning labs and was unsuccessful on the first attempt. I then made a second attempt which was also unsuccessful. The patient was agitated before I attempted to draw but I was able to talk him down enough to attempt the draw. As I was attempting to close the butterfly needle he became increasingly more agitated and yelled. It startled me and I stuck scraped myself in the knuckle of my left hand.
